Friends of Snuffy, Inc. is a New York State 501c3 charitable organization and is an all volunteer group.
Founded in 2006 by Mary Gormley in memory of her beloved dog "Snuffy", Friends of Snuffy started out as a grassroots organization that helps to keep shelters empty by providing an outreach program that includes education programs, grants and direct funding. We have helped to rebuild a local dog shelter, as well as a dog run, and built an exercise yard for pet training and agility courses run by Training Wheels, which is a community outreach program that helps pet owners train their animals.
Friends Of Snuffy's current focus is a Pet Food Pantry Program designed to help people feed their pets in these hard economic times.

Help Out
There are many ways that you can help out, and become a part of the solution.
First, bring pet food to your local food pantry.
Second, We accept donations via mail, at our website (see below), and on our blog.
If you are a facebook or myspace user, we are a "cause" on those places and you can donate through those venues as well!
Third, if you have time, please volunteer! We are looking for concerned, energetic friends to help out at events! Come along and have some fun!
Fourth, Donate Pet Food! Help others keep their furry and feathered friends at home, healthy and happy! Please pick up an extra can or small bag of food the next time you shop for your loved one and drop it off at one of our events!
Finally, Adopt, Don't Shop! If you are looking for a pet, please investigate adoption! There are MANY pets looking for a home!
